With all the hacking, homebrew, and/or custom firmwares going around today, it's no surprise that Sony has become irritated. The PSP has some seriously good games on the market now, all sorts of added functionality, and ongoing firmware updates, yet many PSP owners still feel the need to hack and downgrade. If this post on the Playstation Forums is legit, it seems Sony wants to know why.

As we frequently say around here, we're no promoters of piracy and illegal content. We have no problems with homebrew applications, and running various programs/games. If you pay for a Playstation Portable, and wish to run a fan-created game, I see no real problem. But the piracy must stop.

i have hacked my psp, i did it so i can play the latest games and get more stuff, have fun and many other reasons.

me too, sony must be really stupid if they dont know it.

Yeah I love hacking!!!Once you beat a game once then you are kinda bored so then you hack and then it's fun again!!!

[b]yeah well its because people want more features on there psp.On ofw its kind of boring because the person can only listen to music and play videos for free..and on cfw they can do alot more..

i have another reason.
people want to play pirated games.
