PS1 games to work on PSP?

Postby adam0000 on Sun Mar 23, 2008 12:57 am

so here is my deal. i posted to another site but those buttheads didnt want to help me.

i am running 3.90 M33-2. i want to use PS1 games on my PSP. i can make the image of the game using MagicISO. and i can get the EBOOT and KEYS using Popstation GUI. but from there, where do i go? everything i have tried to do wont get the game to play.

and for some reason i cant downgrade anymore. i ahve down and upgraded a few times on the same PSP. but now it wont let me do it. i get an error code. something like 800212C. or something like that. that might not be it. what can i do about that?

3.30, 3.40, and 3.52 CFW wont downgrade onto my PSP, neither will the Recovery mode. im not a dumb dumb but im not a guru at this. so can someone help me.

im currently on deployment so my internet connection is very shitty. so if you can reply back in as few post as possible, it would help greatly!

Hi and thanks for registering

TROUBLE-SHOOTING

- If you can see the game in the xmb memory game icon but once you press x/o to start loading the game. my psp hangs. All you can see is the waves of psp and it is not loading. Solution- You may need to reset your theme to default one if your using one.
- RIPPED/ COMPRESSED Eboots (popsation) are NOT supported by 3.02 OE B and below.
- If the game appears to be corrupted in your XMB, you may you need to rename the folder to shorten the number of characters. PSX game will appear as a corrupt icon in your PSP if name of folder is more than 30 characters. ( eg. ms root:/PSP/GAME/Resident Evil - Directors Cut Dual Shock Version to ms root:/PSP/GAME/Resident Evil).
-The game folder (eg. Resident Evil) should contain both eboot.pbp and keys.bin. The whole foder containing both files should be inside ms root:/PSP/GAME folder (eg. ms root:/PSP/GAME/Resident Evil).

Here is compability list:

I think that problem is in your psp, because some id keys can be damaged, so best way is to download one small PS1 game and try it, if it work, you have to make some mistakes during converting your games
I try to find some small game.

Here you can download Yeti sport, it is really dump game, but it has only 2mb :

I tried it on my 3.90M33-2 and it worked perfectly.
Here is one more solution try to set kernel in recovery mode to 3.90.

If nothing work, you should reinstall your firmware, because despertar de cementario v4 manage it or find aplication which can repair your id keys.
